Palm Springs Art Museum
Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.
— Thomas Merton

While in Palm Springs over the weekend I had a chance to explore the Palm Springs Art Museum for the first time and it did not disappoint! The museum itself has many cool pop art exhibitions, reminiscent of the very popular Broad Museum in Los Angeles (minus the ridiculously long lines and sold out shows). We were able to take our time, explore at our leisure and really take in each exhibit, particularly in the way South American artist Carlos Cruz-Diez intended his audience to receive his mixed media work 'Chromosaturation for Kinesthesia'.

The musem notes that the spectator is invited to enter every room and stay there until the color seems to fade. At this point, one can discover their own capacity to do and undo color through their perceptive means, as well as their own emotional resonance.

We decided to hit the road for a quick desert getaway and my Mansur Gavriel tote is great for work to weekender bag.
